Answers to some of your most common questions...

How does airbrush tanning work?

The airbrush tanning product DHA solution is sprayed onto the client’s skin. The DHA reacts with protein in the top layer of skin, when these two oxidize together they create a brown color. Different levels of DHA solutions are available to allow for many levels of darkness to match each persons skin color. The most realistic fake tan possible.

What is DHA?

According to the American Academy of Dermatology, the most effective products available for sunless tan contain DHA. DHA has been used in cosmetics for almost 30 years. DHA is derived from glycerin (vegetable origin), which is a commonly used cosmetic and food ingredient. DHA is not absorbed into the body and poses no possibility of toxicity.

If I have fair skin that does not naturally tan, will airbrush tanning work for me?

Yes!  Since the tan is created through the reaction of DHA with your skin and not harmful UV rays anyone will be able to achieve a natural looking tan. This is one of the unique benefits airbrush tanning.  There are different levels of airbrush solution that we use and can customize to match your skin color without turning you “orange”.

What are the added benefits of an airbrush tan?

  • Better for you than the suns harmful UV rays

  • Makes you appear 5 pounds thinner

  • Conceals blemishes, brown spots, cellulite and spider veins

  • Makes skin look healthier and clearer

  • Immediate results

  • Feel better!

Will airbrush tan make me look orange?

No! We have many different solutions that have different levels of DHA. The amount of DHA used will be determined by your skin color. When done properly, using the correct level of DHA you will get a natural looking result. If you have turned orange in the past it would have been from the wrong solution used or overspray.

If I am sunburned, can you spray tan over it?

If you have a recent sunburn - even as far as a month ago - please know that there is a high probability that your spray tan will look blotchy & your skin could peel wherever you have been sunburned, regardless if you peeled or not. Sunburned skin is damaged skin and very dry skin. I strongly advise to wait until your skin is healed before getting an airbrush tan.
